Ringo Starr ‘s new work: “EP 3”
OltreRock here, yesterday 16th September the legend himself Ringo Starr released his last work, a new ep called “EP 3”.
“I am in my studio writing and recording every chance I get. It’s what I have always done and will continue to do, and releasing EPs more frequently allows me to continue to be creative and give each song a little more love.”

The first song “World Go Round”, has Ringo on vocals and drums & percussion, Steve Lukather on guitar and Joseph Williams on keyboards.
Written by Lukather (who also plays in Ringo All Starr Band and is currently on tour in America) and Williams, has a powerful, soulful lirycs that came out through the pandemic (the message is full of brotherhood, hope and joy, it perfectly defines “Ringo“) I want to share.

Lukather is always the right man in the right place, his guitar continues to amaze all of us and Ringo ages just like fine wine, this is the adorable video:
Number two is written by Linda Perry (who does backvocals and plays guitar and percussion on it ), it’s called “Everything is changing” and it’s the more “Beatly” sound of the EP.
The third one “Let’s be Friends” sees again Lukather on guitar , has the great Nathan East on bass and it’s written by Sam Hollander and Bruce Sugar (Ringo’s engineer), it’s a catchy tune once again filled with positivity messages.
Last song is “Free your soul” and here you can find a dreamy sax by Dave Koz, a romantic atmosphere with José Antonio Rodriguez on nylon guitar, Nathan East on Bass and Bruce sugar on Keyboards.
In all the four songs you find the beautiful voices of Billy Valentine, Zelma Davis and Maiya Sykes providing backing vocals.
